The point where a line just touches a curve...................
You drive around a bend in the road then the road becomes a straightaway. Just at that instant when you turn your steering wheel from the direction of the curve to straight you're passing through the point of tangency. It takes but a split second but things become different after you've passed the point of tangency (more clearer more controlled?). It's the point of change, the dividing pillar between chaos and stability.
Tangent is latin for "to touch". It becomes intuitively clear when passing through a point of tangency that change has happened. Much like the feeling you get when rounding a bend in the road-while turning you can feel yourself being pushed toward the outside of the curve then you pass the point of tangency and hit the straightaway and you feel equalized. It's the point of change.
No matter what the point of tangency is there. Always. A beacon that you can pass over and over and never notice until you realize the differences it makes time and time again. It's the constant point of change.
