YANKEES/RED SOX INNING 2 LIVE GLOG

Ok let's give this a try Yankees vs. Red Sox, Wednesday, April 14, 2008, Yankee Stadium. Inning 2 glog (game-log for those who don't know).

jason varitek at the plate (this guy sux)....ball low nad outside... drew leads off first....varitek .053 off wang....low and outside just off the plate....2-0.....throw to first, nothing....
just off the plate again....3-0.....STRIKE ONE....3-1...he was taking all the way.....low ball 4...WALK.....men on first and second.

sean casey at the plate (this guy sux)....low and outside again...1-0....low and inside 2-0....wang has lost the plate he's all over the place....get control man!!!....ground ball foul down 1b line giambi throws it to a fan.....catcher out to the plate to talk to wang, doubt he understands english....crowd chanting "let's go yankees"....low and inside...casey fakes like it hit him falls to ground what a baby....3-0....outside 4-0...WALK-BASES LOADED, MOTHER EFFER...
Giambi, moller, and pitching coach out to mound to talk to wang...he understands none of it but is shaking his head as if he does.
julio lugo at the plate (this guy sux).....swings at first pitch...grounder to third...a-rod goes to first 1 out...drew scores...yanks 3 boston 2.
jacob ellsbury at the plate (this guy sux)low in the dirt 1-0 nice block by catcher....down the middle steeerike 1..1-1...wang paying no attention to the base runners....a squib hit to wang...he throws it home...varitek hung up...RUN DOWN...to a-rod...chase down varitek...out of the baseline OUT...2 outs.
pedroia at the plate (this guy suxks)...strike 1....wang may have ne life after jumping off the mound for the last play...maybe not in the dirt 1-1...grounder to cano...to first 3 outs.
1 run 1 hit 2 men left on base. bases loaded with nobody out and only got one run not to shabby.

HUH, the game goes quick when you're typing. Anyway my soup is done and sitting right there and I'm hungry, but I can't wish the yankees to get out quick I just can't.

Giambi at the plate....down the middle strike one...0-1...big curve outside 1-1....big swing and a miss on the change up strike two...1-2...they have the shift on for giambi, everbody is on the right side of the field well almost everybody...inside ball..2-2...foul...high, full count....soup looks good....screamin foul ball into the right field seats...grounder to the second baseman who's playing the shift in right field....throw to first...1 out.
CAno....strike one no swing...0-1...big curve strike 2 no swing...0-2...SWING THE BAT....foul....grounder to second throw to first...2 outs
chad moller catcher filling in for hurting yankee catchers....down the middle strike one..0-1....inside..1-1....foul back...1-2...a curve that doesn't curve....over mollers head..2-2...crowd starts "boston sucks" chant..i chime in but nobody hears me....foul ball....scorcher to second...pedroia can't handle it... waves it past him and watches it go into right fiedl...man on firdt.
Melky at the plate....strike one...0-1...in the dirt ball...1-1...throw to first...zip...down the middle strike 2...1-2..breaking ball in the dirt...but melky is fooled and gives a half swing...appeal to third...he went...what a bunch of horseshit..melky out...3 outs.
0 runs 1 hit 1 left on.

Well there it is inning 2 caught live from my Vizio 47" to this screen. What do you think? I learned a few things. First fould balls are good they give time to type, never noticed it before, the game seems to move slower after a foul. Kind of like a, ok lets all relax, we have another ball let that one go. But in terms of glogs the foul gives some needed time to type in an extra thing or two. Dustin Pedroia could have joined the endless list of players who assisted for all three outs in the inning but he couldn't handle mollers screamin liner. I'll be back to glog the 7th stay tuned (actually just read the previous entry). Oh sweet elixir chicken soup.
