THE SWEET SPOT

I've had a few in my career. That perfect connection between the center of the ball and the sweet spot of the bat. Hitting a homerun off of that sweet spot is almost like just swinging the bat through the air. The ball becomes weightless and you just know that it's going long. Those split second moments are priceless and rare. The one most memorable one that I recall was years ago in baseball. New pitcher on the mound, first pitch of the inning and a sweet spot connection over the centerfield fence. There've been few since but the elusive sweet spot will show itself again.
